Podzy offers a range of Advanced Customization options that let you tailor your listening experience to exactly how you want your podcast episodes to feel. These features go beyond the basics, giving you full control over the structure, tone, and voice of your generated content.
This option lets you decide how your selected emails are grouped when turned into podcast scripts. You have two distinct formats to choose from:
Each email as a separate podcast episode
→ Perfect if you like short, focused episodes. Each newsletter is treated as a standalone podcast, with its own intro, transitions, and conclusion. This format gives you more bite-sized content and helps you stay focused on one topic at a time.
All emails combined into one single episode
→ Ideal if you prefer one longer episode covering multiple topics. Podzy will blend all selected emails into a cohesive show, with smooth transitions between topics and one unified introduction and outro. Great for longer listening sessions like walks or commutes.

The scripting style defines who is “speaking” in the episode and how the content is presented. This directly affects how your podcast feels, making it either more personal, documentary-style, or conversational. Here are the four available options:
Author as Podcaster
The author of the newsletter becomes the voice of the episode. The script is written in first person, as if they’re directly speaking to you. This feels more personal and intimate, especially for reflective or opinion-based newsletters.
Podcaster Shares Content
A narrator or host summarizes the content of the newsletter while referencing the original author. It’s more objective and informative — think of it as a documentary voiceover or curated summary.
Podcaster–Author Discussion
The tone mimics a friendly interview, where a host asks questions and the author responds. This adds context and makes the script feel like a natural back-and-forth conversation.
Two Podcasters Discussion
A casual dialogue between two hosts discussing the newsletter’s content, sharing opinions, comments, and reactions. This makes your script feel like a podcast episode you’d find on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
⚠️ For the last two styles, make sure your Text-to-Speech app supports dual-voice playback.
