Getting Podzy set up is quick. Once you’ve connected your Gmail and Google Drive, Podzy can generate scripts and send them straight to your Drive — ready for listening in Speechify or any TTS app.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. First go to your Gmail account at : https://mail.google.com/
  2. If you don’t already have a label, create one now — this will be where you store the newsletters you want to convert with Podzy.

To create a label:

Go to the left panel of your main Gmail inbox.

Scroll to the “Labels” section and click the “+” symbol to add a new one. - 👀 Show me the screenshot 3. Choose a name for your Gmail label — like “Newsletter,” “Podzy,” or anything that fits your need.

⚠️ For Podzy to work properly, you need to grant all requested permissions. Without full authorization, Podzy won’t be able to function as intended.

  1. Take a moment to fill out this short form — it helps us understand your needs and deliver better features and content tailored to you.
  2. When you reach Step 4 of the form**,** it’s time to configure your Gmail label :

Click the toggle to view your Gmail labels — you’ll see a full list from your account. Simply select the label you created for the newsletters you want to save or convert with Podzy. - 👀 Show me the screenshot 3. Next, choose a name for the Google Drive folder where Podzy will save your scripts. Then click “Finish”

This makes it easy to find and access them later when using your favorite text-to-speech app like Speechify. ****(See why we recommend Speechify.)

If you don’t name a folder, no worries — your scripts will still be uploaded to your Google Drive, just not organized in a specific folder. - 👀 Show me the screenshot 4. Head back to your Gmail account.

You can apply the label manually or simply drag and drop emails into it. 1. Right click on the email on your inbox. Hover down to “Label as” and then choose the right label you configure in Podzy. 2. Select the email from your inbox then drag & drop it right into your specific label you chose in your left panel “Labels”

Just add the newsletters that actually excite you — the ones you want to hear later with Podzy!
